Community Placement Plan Housing (10/12/09): The Community Placement Plan (CPP) is an integral part of the DDS efforts to develop permanent affordable and accessible homes for individuals with developmental disabilities who are interested in moving from a developmental center or who are at risk of moving into a developmental center. CPP housing expands opportunities for consumers to live in integrated community settings.
Risk Management and Mitigation Report (09/28/09): This report is intended to fulfill the reporting requirement to the Legislature. State regulations require DDS and the regional centers to track adverse events called special incidents that occur to consumers with developmental disabilities.
Seasonal Flu Vaccine (09/21/09): Press Release from California Department of Public Health--Californians are encouraged to receive the vaccine for seasonal influenza, now widely available in California.
Summary of Budget Reductions (Updated) (09/14/09): This summary consolidates all the budget proposals from April and June 2009 into a comprehensive list totaling $334 million General Fund savings in FY 2009-2010. Information was sent to the Regional Centers and others as indicated regarding statutory changes, implementation and requirements to various programs and services including the change to Uniform Holiday Schedule.

Restraint Data for Developmental Centers and State-Operated Community Facilities (09/01/09): Behavioral restraint-related data for the five developmental centers and two community facilities.
Revised Budget for 2009-2010 (08/11/09): California Health and Human Services Agency provides information about the amended budget including provisions 2009-10 Budget enacted in February.
Uniform Holiday Schedule Survey (08/06/09): The recently enacted budget established a uniform holiday schedule for Day Programs, Look-Alike Day Programs and Work Activity Programs. The statute also allows the department to modify the schedule of 14 identified holidays. We invite you to take a short survey on suggested changes to the holiday schedule. The survey will be active until August 24th.

Parental Fee Schedule Change (07/29/09): Effective July 1, 2009, the parental fee schedule has changed for parents of children under the age of 18 who receive 24-hour out-of-home services purchased with State funds through a regional center.
Awarded Funds for Mental Health Activities (07/14/09): Mental Health Services Act funding awarded to six regional centers to develop and oversee innovative programs that focus on early intervention and treatment for children and families impacted by mental health issues, and treatment options for adults with a dual diagnosis.

Information about the Capitol People First Settlement Agreement (03/02/09): The Court has provided preliminary approval of the Capitol People First v. Department of Developmental Services Settlement Agreement and scheduled an April 24, 2009 Court Hearing regarding Final Approval of the Settlement Agreement. DDS is providing Notice of Proposed Settlement to interested persons.

Regional Center Local Program Performance Ratings Report (Early Start) (01/30/09): This report fulfills the federal Office of Special Education Programs reporting requirements by demonstrating regional center performance on federally-designed indicators described in the State Performance Plan for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months of age).
Fee for Regional Center Lease Guarantee Proposals (01/30/09): Effective January 2009, Senate Bill 1175 (Steinberg, Chapter 617, Statutes of 2008) adds Welfare and Institutions Code Section 4688.6, authorizing DDS to review and approve regional center proposals for a lease guarantee.
