Sierra Vista
HISTORY:
Sierra Vista represents a new approach to providing services to California citizens with Developmental Disabilities. Located in Yuba City California, Sierra Vista is a facility that has been leased by the Department of Developmental Services and that the Department staffs and operates. Sierra Vista offers residential and treatment approaches for up to 55 adults who have developmental disabilities and challenging behavior issues. This facility was leased because there was no appropriate space in the existing developmental centers to serve these individuals. Sierra Vista opened its doors for service March 28, 2000. The population on October 28, 2009 was 23.
